UPDATED:

Update, 7:20 p.m.: Musikfest is shutting down all outdoor events for the evening as the threat of severe weather continues, the festival announced around 7:15 p.m. Indoor events held at the ArtsQuest Center, including performances by Saxsquatch and The Amish Outlaws, will continue.

Update, 7 p.m.: Musikfest remains suspended, and festival-goers are asked to continue to seek shelter. The ArtsQuest Center remains open, and all events scheduled there will continue, the festival said.

Update, 5:40 p.m.: Musikfest has been temporarily suspended and the Old Dominion concert ended for the evening due to weather concerns.

The Old Dominion concert started at 5 p.m. and was ended less than an hour later. Musikfest is urging all attendees to head to safety — their cars, the ArtQuest Center or local businesses that are open on Bethlehem’s South Side.

Update: Musikfest has moved all Highmark Community Stage shows, including Saxsquatch at 7 and 9 p.m., inside to Palette & Pour, inside the ArtsQuest Center. The Amish Outlaws will play from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. inside Musikfest Cafe, also inside ArtsQuest Center. All other free stage shows are running as scheduled.

Old Dominion will go on stage earlier today due to storms forecasted later in the evening, has announced.

Gates now open at 4 p.m. and the country band’s performance begins at 5 p.m. at the Wind Creek Steel Stage. The show is sold out.

“The safety of our patrons, performers, volunteers, vendors and staff is of the utmost importance to our organization,” Musikfest said in a statement.

Familienplatz and Handwerkplatz are closed Tuesday due to the weather, but other areas of the festival remain open.

The Lehigh Valley is under a flood watch until noon Wednesday, and the National Weather Service said showers and thunderstorms could produce heavy rain this afternoon through Wednesday.
